PENGARUH LATIHAN PLYOMETRIC TERHADAP PENINGKATAN KECEPATAN PADA PEMAIN SEPAK BOLA USIA 15 TAHUN

This study aims to determine the effect of plyometric training on the speed of 15-year-old soccer players at the Asa Mandiri Soccer Academy. The study used a true experiment method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of 23 players divided into experimental and control groups using the matching ordinal pairing technique. Speed was measured using a 30-meter sprint test. The experimental group was given plyometric training in the form of bounding, lateral bounds, and horizontal jumps for 6 weeks, while the control group underwent routine training. Data analysis used descriptive statistics, paired sample t-test and independent sample t-test. The results of the prerequisite test showed that the data were normally distributed with a significance value of 0.691 > 0.05 and homogeneous with a significance value of 0.446 > 0.05. The results of the paired sample t-test showed a significant increase in speed in the experimental group with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05. However, the results of the independent sample t-test showed no significant difference between the experimental and control groups in the posttest with a significance value of 0.938 > 0.05. It can be concluded that plyometric training can improve sprint speed in 15-year-old soccer players. For more accurate and optimal results, further research should utilize a larger sample size, longer training sessions, and a wider variety of exercises.
