This literature study discusses the development of human movement and the motor learning process in physical education. The background of this study is based on the importance of understanding motor development as a fundamental aspect in improving students’ physical abilities and learning outcomes in physical education. The purpose of this study is to analyze theories and previous research related to human movement development and motor learning processes and their implementation in physical education. The method used in this research is a literature study by reviewing various scientific journals, books, and relevant articles related to motor development and motor learning. The results of the study indicate that human movement development occurs gradually according to age and individual maturity, while motor learning is influenced by practice, experience, environmental factors, and teaching methods applied by educators. In addition, physical education plays an important role in supporting students’ motor skills development through structured and appropriate learning activities. Therefore, understanding movement development and motor learning processes can help teachers design effective and adaptive physical education learning strategies to improve students’ motor abilities and participation in physical activities.
