PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE LISTENING TEAM BERBANTUAN AUDIOBOOK UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENYIMAK SISWA PADA MATA PELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA DI KELAS IV MI NW KARANG BATA TAHUN PELAJARAN 2025/2026

Abstract

This research was motivated by the researcher’s concern regarding the low listening skills of students. Therefore, the study aimed to improve students’ listening skills through the implementation of the Listening Team type of cooperative learning model assisted by audiobooks in Indonesian language lessons for fourth-grade students at MI NW Karang Bata in the 2025/2026 academic year. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR), which was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 21 fourth-grade students of MI NW Karang Bata, consisting of 9 male students and 12 female students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and oral tests. The results of the study indicated that the implementation of the Listening Team cooperative learning model assisted by audiobooks was effective in improving students’ listening skills in Indonesian language learning. This improvement was evident from the results obtained in each cycle. In Cycle I, teacher activity reached 67% (fairly good), student learning activity reached 51% (fairly active), and students’ listening skill achievement reached 71% (not yet achieving mastery). In Cycle II, teacher activity increased to 87% (very good), student learning activity increased to 85% (very active), and students’ listening skill achievement increased to 86% (achieving mastery).
