PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM PEMBELAJARAN BERBASIS HOTS

This research intends to create a learning framework founded on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) to enhance the abilities of students in critical analysis, evaluation, and creativity throughout their educational experiences. The rationale for this study stems from the necessity for a modern learning approach that can aid students in nurturing higher-order thinking skills in line with the requirements of education in the 21st century. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) methodology that encompasses multiple phases, including needs assessment, design of the system, its development, execution, and subsequent evaluation. Data for the research was gathered through various methods, including observations, interviews, surveys, and review of documents. The learning system formulated incorporates digital educational resources, activities centered on problem-solving, and assessment tools focused on HOTS. Findings from the research reveal that the constructed HOTS-centered learning framework possesses a satisfactory degree of validity, practicality, and effectiveness when applied in educational settings. The application of this system is likely to enhance student involvement, improve problem-solving skills, bolster critical thinking abilities, and positively influence their academic achievements. Furthermore, this system offers a coherent structure for educators to design and execute learning tasks that promote higher-order thinking capabilities. Therefore, the HOTS-based learning framework introduced can serve as an inventive approach to help achieve educational objectives and elevate the standard of the educational experience.
