Abstract

The development of digital technology has significantly transformed education, including Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The digitalization of learning serves as a strategic effort to enhance effectiveness, interactivity, and relevance in accordance with the characteristics of students in the digital era. This study aims to analyze the implementation of digitalization in PAI learning and examine its impact on learning effectiveness and the internalization of Islamic values. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that digitalized PAI learning improves student engagement, motivation, and understanding through interactive digital media. However, the internalization of Islamic values remains suboptimal, as learning still focuses on cognitive aspects and lacks integration with character development. In conclusion, digitalization has strong potential to enhance the effectiveness of PAI learning but requires more integrative models. The implication of this study highlights the need for value-based digital learning to support students’ character formation
