ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN E-MODUL KARAKTER BERBASIS NILAI MALAQBIQ UNTUK MENCEGAH PERILAKU AGRESI VERBAL SISWA

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need to develop Malaqbiq-value-based character e-modules as a guidance and counseling tool to prevent verbal aggression among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Tinambung. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach using a verbal aggression scale, in-depth interviews, and observations; data were collected from 40 students and 1 guidance counselor selected through purposive sampling. The data analysis process applied the Miles and Huberman model, which includes three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that 58% of students were identified as having a very high level of verbal aggression, while the remaining 20% fell into the high category. Forms of verbal aggression that emerged included teasing one another, cursing, calling peers by inappropriate nicknames, and using coarse language. The primary triggers of verbal aggression among students stem from strong peer conformity and weak internalization of local wisdom, particularly the “malaqbiq” values that emphasize polite language, respectful attitudes, and good social interaction. This situation is exacerbated by guidance and counseling services that have not yet adopted digital technologies such as e-modules, compounded by teachers’ challenges in contextualizing local culture. Therefore, the urgent development of malaqbiq-value-based character e-modules represents a strategic and innovative step—one that is both preventive and culturally relevant—to address student verbal aggression.
