This study aims to identify the factors causing student learning difficulties and to analyze the role and efforts of teachers in overcoming learning difficulties while enhancing the motivation of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Bataraguru. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, with data validity tested through source and technique triangulation. The findings reveal that student learning difficulties stem from internal factors including poor study habits, lack of concentration, differences in cognitive ability, and low self-confidence, as well as external factors such as insufficient variety in teaching methods, limited learning media, and minimal family support at home. Teachers carried out their roles integratively as guides, facilitators, motivators, and evaluators through thorough lesson preparation, varied use of media, individual mentoring, continuous evaluation, and collaboration with parents. These efforts proved effective in reducing learning barriers and improving student motivation. The findings contribute to strengthening the quality of inclusive and meaningful basic education, in alignment with the mandate of SDG 4 on quality education for all.
