PENGARUH PUNISHMENT ORANG TUA TERHADAP TINGKAT KEHADIRAN PESERTA DIDIK MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH

Abstract

Attendance is an important factor in achieving educational success, the reality in the field shows that there are still students who do not attend school so that the learning program cannot be implemented comprehensively. This study aims to find out whether there is an influence of parental punishment on the level of student attendance at MIS Alkhairaat Pombewe. The method used is a quantitative approach with a causal associative method. The population of this study is all students totaling 88 people with a sample of 31 people by applying the purposive sampling technique. Data collected through questionnaires or questionnaires with 18 statement items. The results showed that there was no significant influence between parental punishment on the level of student attendance at MIS Alkhairaat Pombewe. The hypothesis was tested through simple linear regression analysis which resulted in the equation Y=35.887 (α)+0.093 (X) and the determination coefficient (R2)=0.013. The hypothesis test with the t-test showed tcount (0.619) < ttable (1.699) with a significance level of 0.541>0.05 so that H0 was accepted and H1 was rejected.
