PERAN POJOK LITERASI ISLAMI SEBAGAI MEDIA EDUKASI SPIRITUAL DAN MORAL SISWA DI SMP NEGERI 1 DIWEK 1 JOMBANG

Abstract

State Junior High School 1 Diwek Jombang, one of the first secondary schools in the area, strives to integrate spiritual and moral education into the school environment. One innovation implemented is the provision of an Islamic literacy corner as an educational resource.Based on this background, this study aims to 1. describe the Islamic literacy corner at State Junior High School 1 Diwek Jombang, 2. describe the role of the Islamic corner as a medium for spiritual and moral education for students at State Junior High School 1 Diwek Jombang.This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques used include Observation, Interviews, Documentation to obtain comprehensive information about the Islamic literacy corner. The results of this study indicate that 1. The Islamic literacy corner at State Junior High School 1 Diwek is an effective school innovation in strengthening literacy culture while instilling religious values ​​and noble morals through the provision of easily accessible and relevant Islamic readings for students, 2. The Islamic literacy corner acts as a medium for spiritual and moral education that is able to increase religious awareness, the quality of worship, and form positive attitudes such as honesty, discipline, politeness, and respect for others through a continuous habituation process, 3. Overall, the existence of the Islamic literacy corner supports the learning of Islamic Religious Education and creates a religious and conducive school environment in forming the character of students who are faithful, ethical, and responsible.
