IMPLEMENTASI MODEL DISCOVERY LEARNING DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM DAN DAMPAKNYA TERHADAP PRESTASI BELAJAR SISWA DI SD NEGERI PEMASAR KABUAPATEN SUMBAWA

This research is motivated by the low interest in learning among students, the suboptimal involvement of students in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning, as well as students' learning achievements that have not reached the expected results. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Discovery Learning model in Islamic Religious Education learning at SD Negeri Pemasar, identify the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of the Discovery Learning model, and analyze its impact on students' learning achievements. This research uses a qualitative approach with a qualitative descriptive research type. The study was conducted at SD Negeri Pemasar, Sumbawa Regency. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources of the study consisted of the principal, PAI teachers, and students. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Discovery Learning has been carried out through three main stages, namely planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning. In the implementation stage, the learning process follows the Discovery Learning syntax, which includes stimulation, problem identification, data collection, data processing, verification, and drawing conclusions. The supporting factors for the implementation of the Discovery Learning model include teacher support, school environment, and the teacher’s role as a facilitator, while inhibiting factors consist of time limitations, facilities and infrastructure, and the varying abilities of students. The application of the Discovery Learning model has a positive impact on students' learning achievement, with increased material comprehension, student activity, learning motivation, and students' critical thinking skills.
