PERAN ULAMA DALAM MENGEMBANGKAN PENDIDIKAN SAINS BERBASIS ISLAM DI ERA MODERN

This article examines the important role of scholars in developing science based on Islamic values. Since the heyday of Islamic civilization, scholars have played a strategic role in integrating religious knowledge and science in harmony. They are not only the guardians of Islamic values, but also innovators in the fields of science such as medicine, astronomy, mathematics, and philosophy. In the modern context, the role of scholars is increasingly relevant to answer the challenges of globalization and secularization of science. Through an integrative and contextual approach, scholars are expected to be able to become a bridge between the Islamic scientific tradition and the needs of the times. This article uses a descriptive qualitative method with a historical and normative approach, aiming to strengthen the awareness of Muslims on the importance of developing science based on Islamic spiritual and ethical values.
