IMPLEMENTASI PENGGUNAAN APLIKASI AL-QUR’AN DIGITAL DALAM MENINGKATKAN PEMBIASAAN MEMBACA AL-QUR’AN PADA SISWA SMAN 1 PURWOSARI

Abstract

This research was conducted based on the decreasing habit of reading the Qur’an among students amid the rapid development of digital technology and smartphone use among teenagers. The study aimed to examine the implementation of digital Qur’an applications in fostering students’ habituation to reading the Qur’an at SMAN 1 Purwosari, identify the impacts of their use, and analyze supporting and inhibiting factors during implementation. This research employed a qualitative field research approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving Islamic Education teachers, students, and school administrators. The findings revealed that the use of digital Qur’an applications contributed positively to increasing students’ interest, motivation, participation, and consistency in reading the Qur’an. The applications provided practical access and interactive features such as murottal, translations, and tafsir, which helped students improve reading fluency and understanding. Supporting factors included teacher guidance, smartphone ownership, and religious school programs, while obstacles involved unstable internet connections, inconsistent student participation, and smartphone misuse for entertainment purposes. In conclusion, digital Qur’an applications can serve as an effective learning medium to support Qur’anic reading habituation and strengthen students’ religious character when accompanied by continuous guidance and proper supervision.
