IMPLEMENTASI METODE OUTDOOR LEARNING DALAM PEMBELAJARAN IPAS MATERI BIOTIK DAN ABIOTIK PADA SISWA KELAS III DI SD SARASWATI 1 DENPASAR

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the implementation of the Outdoor Learning method in science and social studies (IPAS) learning on biotic and abiotic materials for third grade students at SD Saraswati 1 Denpasar. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and literature study. The results showed that the implementation of Outdoor Learning was carried out through planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The school environment was utilized as a contextual learning resource through direct observation activities on plants, animals, soil, water, and sunlight related to biotic and abiotic materials. The implementation of Outdoor Learning increased students’ activeness, learning motivation, and conceptual understanding. Obstacles encountered included limited learning time, weather conditions, and students’ focus during outdoor activities. Teachers addressed these obstacles by managing student groups effectively, giving clear instructions, and maximizing learning time. Therefore, Outdoor Learning can create meaningful and contextual learning experiences for elementary school students.
