ANALISIS MODEL PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING (PBL) DALAM MENGOPTIMALKAN KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA KELAS VB DI SDS AMKUR BENGKAYANG

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in optimizing students’ critical thinking skills in Indonesian language learning for class VB at SDS Amkur Bengkayang. The research used a descriptive qualitative approach. The subjects of this study consisted of the homeroom teacher and 42 students of class VB. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and student learning outcomes as supporting data. The results showed that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model was able to encourage students to become more active in learning activities, especially in discussion, problem-solving, and expressing opinions. Students also showed changes in critical thinking behavior, such as understanding problems, providing logical reasons, actively discussing, and drawing conclusions from learning activities. The teacher stated that the use of the PBL model made students more enthusiastic and involved in the learning process. Supporting data from student learning outcomes also showed better results in the second meeting compared to the first meeting. Thus, the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model can optimize students’ critical thinking skills in Indonesian language learning.
