PENGARUH SELF-ESTEEM DAN PENGENALAN LAPANGAN PERSEKOLAHAN (PLP) TERHADAP KESIAPAN MENJADI GURU MAHASISWA PRODI PENDIDIKAN ADMINISTRASI PERKANTORAN STAMBUK 2022

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self-esteem and School Field Introduction Program (Pengenalan Lapangan Persekolahan/PLP) on the readiness to become teachers among students of the Office Administration Education Study Program, Faculty of Economics, Universitas Negeri Medan, Class of 2022. This research used a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design. The population consisted of 64 students, and the sampling technique used was total sampling. Data collection techniques included questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis techniques consisted of normality test, linearity test, multicollinearity test, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and coefficient of determination (R²). The results showed that self-esteem had a positive and significant effect on readiness to become teachers with a significance value of 0.001 < 0.05 and tcount of 3.491. PLP also had a positive and significant effect on readiness to become teachers with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and tcount of 3.943. Simultaneously, self-esteem and PLP had a positive and significant effect on readiness to become teachers with an Fcount value of 24.762. These findings indicate that better self-esteem and PLP experiences can improve students’ readiness to become professional teachers.
