PENGUATAN KARAKTER RELIGIUS SISWA MELALUI KEGIATAN CERAMAH SINGKAT (CEKAT) DI MA DARUNNAJAH AL-FALAH TELAGAWARU LOMBOK BARAT

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Short Sermon (CEKAT) activity and analyze its role in strengthening the religious character of students at MA Darunnajah Al-Falah Telagawaru. The background of this study is based on the importance of strengthening religious character within the madrasah environment as an effort to address moral challenges and the decline in students’ discipline in worship practices. The CEKAT activity is regarded as one of the religious programs that has the potential to instill religious values through the active involvement of students.This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation involving the head of the madrasah, Islamic Religious Education teachers, coordinators of religious activities, and students. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which consists of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while the validity of the data was verified through source and technique triangulation.The results of the study indicate that the Short Sermon (CEKAT) activity at MA Darunnajah Al-Falah Telagawaru is conducted regularly after congregational prayers by involving students alternately as speakers. This activity plays a significant role in strengthening students’ religious character, particularly in improving discipline in worship, responsibility, self-confidence, honesty, politeness, and active participation in religious activities. Therefore, CEKAT functions not only as a medium for delivering religious messages but also as a means of fostering students’ religious character within the madrasah environment.
