IMPLEMENTASI ETIKA PROFESI KEGURUAN DALAM MENINGKATKAN PROFESIONALISME GURU DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

1. Teacher professional ethics is closely related to the quality of teacher professionalism in elementary schools. Professional teachers are not only required to master learning materials and classroom strategies, but also to show responsibility, fairness, honesty, care, and respect for the dignity of students. This article aims to describe the implementation of teacher professional ethics in improving elementary school teacher professionalism. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach through library research. The data sources consisted of recent regulations, teacher professionalism literature, and scientific articles published within the last ten years. Data were analyzed using content analysis by identifying ethical values, grouping their implementation in school practices, and interpreting their contribution to teacher professionalism. The results show that teacher professional ethics can be implemented through responsible lesson planning, objective assessment, protection of students from violence and discrimination, polite communication, confidentiality of student information, collaboration with parents and colleagues, and continuous professional development. These practices contribute to pedagogical, personal, social, and professional competence. Strengthening ethics requires reflective supervision, school culture, teacher working groups, and professional development programs that are connected to real classroom problems.
