PERANCANGAN PURWARUPA APLIKASI PEMANTAUAN STUNTING BERBASIS MOBILE MENGGUNAKAN PENDEKATAN USER CENTERED DESIGN (STUDI DI KABUPATEN MANOKWARI)

Abstract

Stunting monitoring requires accurate, timely, and integrated data to support early detection and targeted health interventions. However, the stunting monitoring process in Manokwari Regency still faces several challenges, including manual recording, repeated data recapitulation, delayed reporting, potential input errors, and limited real-time access to child growth information. This study aims to design a mobile-based stunting monitoring application prototype using the User Centered Design approach. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, Focus Group Discussion, interviews, and documentation involving health office representatives, nutrition officers, Posyandu cadres, and parents of toddlers. The data were analyzed using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, supported by NVivo 15 to identify dominant themes and user needs. The findings showed that data management was the central issue in stunting monitoring, as indicated by the dominant occurrence of the keywords data, process, Posyandu, children, health, recording, system, information, manual, and delay. The prototype was developed through four User Centered Design stages: understanding the context of use, specifying user requirements, designing solutions, and evaluating the design. The resulting prototype applies a role-based interface for Posyandu cadres, health workers, and parents. Its main features include digital anthropometric recording, child identity input, data confirmation, health worker validation, growth reports, growth charts, follow-up recommendations, Posyandu schedules, and educational articles. The study concludes that the proposed prototype can serve as an initial model for developing a more responsive, accurate, integrated, and user-oriented stunting monitoring system in Manokwari Regency.
