ANALISIS PENERAPAN STRATEGI ART-BASED LEARNING BERBASIS MUSIK INSTRUMENTAL DALAM PEMBELAJARAN MENULIS PUISI

Abstract

This study was motivated by students’ low proficiency in writing poetry, particularly in developing ideas, imagination, and word choice, which is attributed to the fact that instruction is still conducted using conventional methods. Therefore, a teaching strategy is needed that can create a more engaging learning environment and support students’ creative processes. This study aims to describe the process of implementing art-based learning strategies through instrumental music and to examine students’ responses and teachers’ feedback regarding poetry writing instruction at SMK Khoiriyah Sumobito. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach with 32 tenth-grade students as the research subjects. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of art-based learning strategies using instrumental music is capable of creating a more conducive learning atmosphere, improving student concentration, and developing imagination and creativity in poetry writing. This strategy is considered appropriate for the learning objectives of poetry writing and is capable of increasing student engagement throughout the learning process.
