Abstract

Low learning motivation among sixth-grade elementary school students remains a real challenge in improving education quality in the digital era. The use of Smart TV-based interactive multimedia is considered an innovative solution capable of delivering more engaging, contextual, and student-centered learning experiences. Although several studies have examined the use of Smart TV in learning, a systematic synthesis of findings on its impact on elementary school students' learning motivation, particularly in Grade VI, is not yet comprehensively available. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Smart TV-based interactive multimedia on the learning motivation of Grade VI elementary school students through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Articles were retrieved from Google Scholar, SINTA, and Garuda databases for the period 2019–2025 using the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Of 23 articles identified, 15 met the inclusion criteria for in-depth analysis. Findings indicate that: (1) Smart TV-based interactive multimedia consistently improves learning motivation through attractive visual-audio content; (2) average motivational improvement ranges from 20% to 45% compared to conventional instruction; and (3) Smart TV fosters active engagement, curiosity, and student enthusiasm. This study concludes that Smart TV-based interactive multimedia is viable for integration in Grade VI elementary classrooms and should be supported by teacher training and adequate technological infrastructure.
