Abstract

This study is motivated by the tendency of Aqidah Akhlak learning to remain normative and memorization-oriented, which limits the development of students’ critical thinking creativity. This research aims to construct a deep learning-based Aqidah Akhlak learning model to enhance students’ critical thinking creativity at MTsN 1 Blitar. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings reveal that the constructed learning model consists of three main components: value internalization, critical exploration, and contextual reflection, implemented through stages of problem stimulation, concept exploration, critical discussion, and value reflection. This model effectively encourages students to think analytically, evaluatively, and creatively in understanding Aqidah Akhlak materials. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of deep learning with religious value reflection, resulting in a holistic learning model encompassing cognitive, affective, and spiritual domains. Therefore, this model contributes as an innovative alternative in Islamic education, particularly in fostering students’ critical thinking creativity.
