Abstract

Character education is an essential pillar in facing the challenges of moral degradation in the Society 5.0 era. The study aims to measure and describe the implementation of character education through Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning for fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 15 Banda Aceh. This research utilizes a quantitative descriptive approach with a survey method involving 30 students as the total population (total sampling). Data were collected through a closed questionnaire consisting of 32 items, which was validated and tested for reliability (Cronbach's Alpha 0.913), and further strengthened by source triangulation through the PJOK teacher’s assessment. The analysis results show that the overall implementation level of student character is in the "Very Good" category with a percentage of 73%. Specifically, the religious factor achieved an absolute success rate of 100%, followed by the disciplined and orderly factor at 93%. However, the healthy lifestyle factor and the creative dimension still show a distribution of Fair categories (17%) that require more intensive guidance. The study concludes that physical activity in PJOK effectively serves as a behavioral laboratory for student character building, though it necessitates synergy between schools and facilities to optimize healthy living habits.
