KORELASI ANTARA KEDISIPLINAN SISWA DENGAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA MATA PELAJARAN IPA KELAS V SDN 67 SINGKAWANG

Abstract

This study aims to determine the correlation between student discipline and science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDN 67 Singkawang. The research employed a quantitative approach using a bivariate correlational design. The population and sample of the study consisted of all fifth-grade students totaling 27 students, including 22 male students and 5 female students. The sampling technique used was total sampling. The instrument used to measure student discipline was a closed questionnaire consisting of 18 statements using a Likert scale. Data on science learning outcomes were obtained from students’ daily test scores. Data analysis techniques included normality testing using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and hypothesis testing using Pearson Product Moment correlation. The results showed that the data were normally distributed with Dcount = 0.112 which was smaller than Dtable = 0.262. The Pearson correlation analysis indicated that the correlation coefficient value was r = 0.74 which falls into the strong correlation category. The significance test showed that tcount = 5.50 was greater than ttable = 2.06 at the 0.05 significance level, indicating that the alternative hypothesis was accepted. The coefficient of determination showed that student discipline contributed 54.76% to science learning outcomes. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a strong and significant relationship between student discipline and science learning outcomes in grade V of SDN 67 Singkawang.
