Abstract

The ability to read the Qur’an fluently and accurately in accordance with the rules of tajwid is a fundamental competency that must be possessed by students of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Nurul Mun’im. However, the reality of learning shows that many students still experience difficulties in reading fluency, accuracy of makhraj, and the application of tajwid. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Yanbu’a method and its impact on students’ Qur’an reading ability at MI Nurul Mun’im. The study employs a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation involving Qur’an teachers, the head of the madrasah, the vice principal for curriculum affairs, and students. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing using triangulation techniques. The findings indicate that the Yanbu’a method is implemented through learning planning based on students’ initial abilities, consistent instructional practices involving direct reading and immediate correction, as well as tiered and continuous evaluation. The implementation of this method has been shown to improve students’ Qur’an reading ability, particularly in terms of reading fluency, accuracy of makhraj, application of tajwid rules, and students’ confidence in reading the Qur’an.

Zakiyah Bz, Universitas Nurul Jadid

Dr. Zakiyah Bz, M.Pd.I adalah dosen tetap di Universitas Nurul Jadid, Probolinggo, yang menempuh pendidikan hingga jenjang doktor (S3) di bidang Pendidikan Islam (dengan kualifikasi S3 dari Universitas Islam Malang). Beliau berafiliasi dengan Program Studi Pendidikan Guru Madrasah Ibtidaiyah di Fakultas Agama Islam dan aktif dalam berbagai kegiatan akademik, penelitian, serta pengabdian masyarakat di lingkungan kampus tersebut.

Dalam kiprahnya sebagai akademisi, Dr. Zakiyah Bz telah menulis dan menerbitkan banyak karya ilmiah dan jurnal penelitian, termasuk topik-topik seperti pembelajaran pendidikan agama, responsivitas pesantren terhadap pandemi, pengelolaan pembelajaran digital, serta strategi peningkatan kompetensi membaca Al-Qur’an. Beliau juga telah menghasilkan buku ajar berjudul Manajemen Kelas: Mengenal Potensi dan Kepribadian Peserta Didik serta sejumlah hak cipta pendidikan berbasis project learning dan inovasi pembelajaran.

Selain publikasi ilmiah, Dr. Zakiyah Bz aktif terlibat dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat (PKM) yang berfokus pada pemberdayaan masyarakat, peningkatan keterampilan membaca Al-Qur’an, dan habituasi nilai-nilai keagamaan di komunitas pesantren dan lingkungan pendidikan.

Melalui perannya di kampus, beliau turut mendukung program akademik dan pengembangan pedagogi di Universitas Nurul Jadid untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan, khususnya dalam konteks pendidikan Islam dan pembelajaran di tingkat dasar dan pesantren.
