Abstract

The development of digital technology, especially Articial Intelegence(AI),has brought significant changes in the world of education, including its use in he learning process of Islamic Religious Education (PAI).One form of Al That is starting to be widely used is the chatGpt application,which has the potential to be a learning support medium in helping students understand the material more systematically and independently. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of the ChatGPT application in PAI learning on the conceptual understanding of class XI TKR 3 students at SMKN 1 Sidayu Gresik. This Study Uses a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression method.The population and sampel of the study were all 33 class XI TKR 3 Students of SMKN 1 Sidayu Gresik,With a saturated sampling technique,Data collection techniques were carried out through observation ,quetionnaires,tests,and documentation.The research instruments were a likert scale questionnaire to measure the utilization of the ChatGPT application and a learning outcome test to measure students’ conceptual understansing.The data obtained were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis and simple linear regression analysis after going through the analysis prerequisite test.The results of this study are expected to provide an empirical picture of the influence of the use of the ChatGPT application in Islamic religious education learning on students conceptual understanding, as well as being a reference for teachers in integrating al technology as an effective and relevant Islamic religious education learning innovation.
