Abstract

Minangkabau International Airport, classified as a category 8 airport, currently lacks a nurse tender vehicle, which plays a crucial role in supporting water supply during firefighting operations. This study aims to analyze the standardization of supporting vehicle facilities in accordance with applicable regulations and to formulate solutions for existing nonconformities. The research employs a descriptive qualitative method through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal a misalignment with established standards, particularly due to the absence of a nurse tender vehicle, which limits the response capability during large-scale or prolonged emergency situations where the water supply demand exceeds the capacity of the main foam tender vehicle. Proposed solutions include short-term strategies such as optimizing existing vehicles, enhancing personnel readiness, conducting risk mapping, and coordinating with external parties, as well as long-term strategies involving the procurement of a nurse tender vehicle. This study serves as a basis for evaluating and improving PKP-PK facilities to support aviation safety.
