Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the school discipline program, the level of student discipline, and the influence of the discipline on student discipline at SDN Cijambe, Cianjur Regency and SDN Caringin 2, Sukabumi Regency. The background of the study arose from findings in the field that the implementation of the discipline has not been running optimally, which is evident from the fact that some students still arrive late, do not wear the uniform as stipulated, do not comply with teacher instructions, and have low concern for environmental cleanliness. The study used qualitative methods through interviews, observations, and documentation to obtain a comprehensive picture of the implementation of the discipline and student discipline. The results showed that the discipline program has been implemented, but its implementation has not been consistent, resulting in a moderate level of student discipline. The findings also showed a positive relationship between the discipline program and the level of discipline, but the effect has not been optimal due to obstacles in habituation, supervision, and enforcement of the rules. This study concluded that discipline has an important role in shaping student discipline, so it is necessary to increase socialization, positive reinforcement, teacher role models, and cooperation with parents to optimize discipline in the school environment.
