The purpose of this study is to determine the differences and the effect of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by Geohouse media on the mathematical connection ability of fifth-grade elementary school students. This study is motivated by the low level of students’ mathematical connection ability, as indicated by difficulties in connecting mathematical concepts across topics, with other disciplines, and with real-life contexts. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental design. The population consisted of all fifth-grade students of SDN Lemahireng 01, with the research sample comprising class VA as the experimental group that implemented the PBL model assisted by Geohouse media and class VB as the control group that implemented the PBL model without Geohouse media. Data were collected through mathematical connection ability tests, questionnaires, and observations. Data analysis was conducted using prerequisite tests, including normality and homogeneity tests, as well as hypothesis testing using an independent sample t-test and linear regression analysis. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the mathematical connection ability between students who learned using the PBL model assisted by Geohouse media and those who learned using the PBL model without Geohouse media. Furthermore, the implementation of the PBL model assisted by Geohouse media had a significant effect on improving students’ mathematical connection ability. Therefore, the PBL model assisted by Geohouse media is effective in improving the mathematical connection ability of elementary school students, particularly on the topic of area of plane figures.
