Education is a basic effort planned to create a learning atmosphere and learning process so that students are able to actively develop their potential in order to have spiritual religious strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble morals, and skills needed by themselves and society. The purpose of this study is to determine and describe the role of teachers in overcoming students' learning difficulties in the PPKn subject of Class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Dua Boccoe. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative with subjects consisting of 1 teacher and 3 students of class VIII from different classes. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used through four stages, namely the data collection stage, data reduction stage, data presentation stage, and conclusion stage. The results of this study indicate that there are 5 efforts made by PPKn teachers in overcoming students' learning difficulties, namely teachers create a pleasant learning atmosphere, provide stimulus in the form of questions, provide learning motivation to students, use various learning methods, and use teaching media during the learning process.
