The Talaqqi method is a method of memorizing the Koran which is done by listening to verses from the Koran read directly by a teacher who knows the Koran by heart. Talaqqi is a way of learning to memorize the Koran directly for people who are already adept at reading the Koran. Based on research results obtained from interviews and observations, there are 3 stages in the tahfidz learning process using the talaqqi method at SMA Muhammadiyah 01 Medan, namely the planning stage, the implementation stage and resolving obstacles in implementation. Learning process. Tahfidz using the talaqqi method has the advantage that teachers have more freedom to monitor their students' progress directly. Apart from that, children can directly see the movement of the teacher's lips in pronouncing the makhorijul letters because they are facing him directly. Meanwhile, the disadvantage of the talaqqi method is that it cannot be used classically because it is less effective. Apart from that, students will feel bored waiting for their turn to be tested by rote by the teacher because the teacher has to test them individually.
