This research was conducted to determine how the application of the socio-cultural concept story method through the CTL (Contextual Teaching and Learning) learning model in increasing student interest and student learning achievement in IPAS from student class IV SDN Gunung Sari II. The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of the method on student interest and student learning achievement. The type of research used was experimental with a quantitative approach, involving 18 students as research subjects. The results showed that students' learning interest increased from an average pretest of 24.22% to a posttest of 44.72% (an increase of 20.50%), with statistically significant results (Sig. 0.000 <0.05) and student learning achievement also increased from an average pretest score of 75.28% to a posttest of 86.39% (an increase of 11.11%), and also statistically significant (Sig. 0.000 <0.05). The application of the socio-cultural concept story method through the CTL learning model has a positive impact in increasing student interest and learning achievement in IPAS at SDN Gunung Sari II.
