Abstract

The activeness of students in learning is a factor that contributes to the achievement of learning success. Observations in class II of SD Negeri 3 Purbalingga Lor show that students have not been actively involved optimally and are still low. The purpose of this study is to determine the increase in activeness and learning achievement through the use of cooperative models of Example Non Example type assisted by Flashcard media. The method chosen was classroom action research conducted in 2 cycles involving 22 grade II students, at SD Negeri 3 Purbalingga Lor as research subjects. Data collection techniques included observation of activeness, teacher and student activities, and tests. The findings of the study revealed that: first, the use of the Example Non Example type cooperative model was able to increase learning activeness from an average score of 2.25 in cycle I to 3.02 in cycle II. Secondly, there was an increase in learning achievement reflected in the average score of 67.81 in cycle I with sufficient criteria, then increased to 82.81 in cycle II with very good criteria. This increase shows that the research success indicators have been achieved.
