Abstract

Bullying is violent behavior carried out by a person or group with the intention of threatening, annoying, or degrading other people who are considered weaker. The aim of this research is to determine teachers' efforts in handling bullying cases in elementary schools and to determine the impact of teachers' efforts in handling bullying cases in elementary schools. The research method used in this research is a qualitative descriptive method. The research objects and information are children, parents, teachers in elementary schools and the community. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation, while data analysis techniques include data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the bullying that often occurs at SD Negeri 79 Prabumulih is verbal bullying, this is proven by the results of researchers' observations in the field. The efforts made by teachers to overcome bullying behavior are teachers motivating students to have a strong mentality and be realistic, teachers provide education and provide love, trust, and involve both perpetrators and victims. And teachers build effective communication with students' parents in preventing and overcoming bullying behavior. The impact resulting from these efforts is a reduction in verbal bullying carried out by fellow students, which means that the efforts made by teachers have been quite effective in overcoming bullying behavior.
