Abstract

This study aims to measure the effectiveness of the use of the LENTERA (Cultural and Civic Literacy Training) module in increasing the emotional intelligence of elementary school students. The LENTERA module is designed as a learning instrument based on cultural and civic literacy that not only enriches students' knowledge, but also contributes to the development of their emotional aspects. Emotional intelligence is considered one of the important abilities for students to be able to understand and manage emotions, as well as establish good social relationships in the school environment and society. This study uses an experimental method with one group only pretest-posttest. The research subjects involved 18 elementary school students in elementary school x in Jepang. The results of the study show that the use of the LENTERA module is able to significantly improve students' emotional intelligence, especially in the aspects of emotional management, empathy, and social skills. LENTERA modules are proven to be effective
