The development of information and communication technology (ICT) has opened new opportunities for the advancement of Islamic religious education on a broader global scale. This article aims to outline planning strategies for ICT-based Islamic religious education to build sustainable global literacy. This study employs a literature review method by analyzing various literatures related to the implementation of ICT in Islamic religious education, effective learning planning strategies, and the concept of global literacy. The information is analyzed to identify best practices and relevance in the context of teaching Islamic religion. The results of this research indicate that the integration of ICT in the planning of Islamic religious education allows for broader access to educational resources, enhances student engagement, and expands the scope of learning to a global level. Proven effective planning strategies include adjusting the curriculum to the global and technological context, developing students' digital literacy skills, and fostering collaboration among stakeholders. The implementation of this approach will result in Islamic religious education that is more relevant to contemporary contexts, dynamic in its approach, and responsive to the demands of the modern world. Thus, it can strengthen the role of Islamic religious education in reaching and influencing global communities in a positive and meaningful way.Downloads
