PARADIGMA BARU PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER DI ERA SOCIETY 5.0: PRESPEKTIF GURU PENDIDIKAN DASAR

Internet use for the millennial generation at the elementary school level has become a necessity in everyday life. Apart from being increasingly easy to access via smartphone, the Internet can also share various content and information obtained regardless of distance, time, and age. This is better known as the Industrial Revolution Era 4.0. In the continuation of this era, our society is faced with the society 5.0 revolution. In this era, we promote the idea of digital technology to improve the quality of life, solve problems, and create a better environment. With the arrival of the 5.0 era, it will certainly have a big influence on the world of education, especially elementary school students. For elementary school children, imitative behavior is a natural trait at their age. In this position, teachers are faced with new character problems that will emerge amidst rapid technological developments. With easy internet access, various kinds of video content that develop in society, if not managed wisely, will certainly damage the morale of the nation's children. Due to the emergence of problems amidst the development of technology, researchers want to research to find out the role of teachers in shaping the character of students in elementary schools and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in shaping the character of students in this era. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. This research aims to understand social phenomena through a holistic picture and provide a deeper understanding. From the research conducted by the researchers, the findings were that the teacher is the first person in the school who has a big role in shaping the character of students, while parents are the relay for teachers to continue educating the character of students at home and in the child's environment. Technology is like two blades in the world of education. If it is used appropriately, the character formed in students is much more mature, has critical thinking, and can easily develop new concepts in learning. However, if it is misused it will have a negative impact and can harm yourself and others.Downloads
