Abstract

This research is based on the problem of student intelligence, especially emotional intelligence in learning. Emotional intelligence refers to the ability to understand, control and evaluate emotions. This study aims to determine the increase in students' emotional intelligence through the application of the cooperative learning model in PJOK learning. The results of the research that has been carried out and the data obtained, stated that there is an increase in emotional intelligence in class V students of SDN Cikokol 3 by applying the Team Games Tournament learning model ( TGT). The percentage of teacher activity observations in cycle I was 77.34% and in cycle II was 89.84%, so there was a difference of 12.5%. Meanwhile, the percentage of observations of student activity in cycle I was 72.65% and in cycle II there was an increase to 89.84%, including in the good category, meaning that students were able to understand and were able to manage emotions well, there was mutual respect between friends, there was increased motivation in students, and students can establish good relationships with other people and from these results there is a difference in the increase of 17.19%.
