Abstract

The research is based on the importance of enhancing students' critical thinking skills in the subject of Pancasila Education, particularly on the topic "Maintaining the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) with Unity and Cohesion". The implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model is expected to address the issue of students' lack of critical thinking skills in elementary schools. Furthermore, the use of the interactive media Wordwall as an aid is anticipated to increase student engagement in the learning process. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which consists of four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research are fifth-grade students at an elementary school. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and critical thinking skills tests. The data obtained were analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively to measure the improvement in students' critical thinking skills before and after the implementation of the PBL model assisted by interactive media Wordwall. The results of the research indicate that the implementation of the PBL model assisted by interactive media Wordwall significantly improves students' critical thinking skills. This improvement is evident from the increase in students' critical thinking skills test scores from the first cycle to the last cycle. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the PBL model is effective in enhancing students' critical thinking skills in Pancasila Education, especially with the support of interactive media such as Wordwall.
