Abstract

This research was motivated by the results of a pre-survey conducted at State Senior High School 1 Ukui (SMAN 1 Ukui), researchers found a phenomenon that there were around 29% of students who were members of scouting who had social problems such as having been involved in conflicts with peers, being shy. / have difficulty expressing their opinions, and are not good at placing themselves in their social environment. The formulation of the problem in this research is whether there is an influence of scout extracurriculars on the formation of students' social intelligence at SMA N 1 Ukui. The population in this study consisted of all students who took part in scouting extracurricular activities at SMA N 1 Ukui, namely 31 students. The sample size in this study used a saturated sampling technique. The data collection methods used were documentation and questionnaires. Data processing uses simple linear regression statistical analysis, with FCount ≥ FTable, namely 55.90 ≥ 4.20 with a significance level of 0.00 ≤ 0.05, thus the scout extracurricular variable (X) influences the social intelligence variable (Y). The R-Square value is 0.658 or a strong influence.
