Abstract

This research aims to describe the implementation of the Think Talk Write (TTW) cooperative model in learning to write narrative essays in Indonesian language subjects in 4th of SD Negeri in Sleman. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this research were 4th students with a total of 27 students consisting of 14 male students and 13 female students. The object of this research is the Think Talk Write cooperative learning model and narrative essay writing skills. Data collection techniques in this research were carried out using the methods: interviews, observation, questionnaires and documentation. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. The importance of implementing the Think Talk Write means that students do not find it difficult to compose an essay outline. The results of research based on interviews with teachers show that students are more active when implementing the Think Talk Write cooperative model. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be seen that there has been an increase in narrative essay writing skills in Indonesian language subjects. Implementation of the Think Talk Write cooperative model can improve narrative essay writing skills in elementary school students.
