This research discusses the problem of low critical thinking skills in Citizenship Education learning in class IVB at SD Inpres Kassi-Kassi 1 Makassar City. The aim of this research is to find out how the application of the problem-based learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills in class IVB citizenship education at SD Inpres Kassi-Kassi I Makassar City. This research approach is a quantitative approach. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK) with two cycles which include planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The focus of this research is the critical thinking skills of class IVB students in civic education learning and problem based learning models. The subjects of this research were 20 students in class IVB of SD Inpres Kassi-Kassi I, Makassar city in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. Observation data collection techniques and test questions. The data analysis technique in this research is descriptive statistical data analysis. The results of this research show that there is a significant increase in each cycle. The results of the first cycle test with the low category increased in cycle II with the high category. The results of data analysis concluded that the application of the problem- based learning model can improve students' critical thinking skills in civic education learning in class IVB at SD Inpres Kassi-Kassi I Makassar City.Downloads
