Abstract

This study aims to determine the increase in psychomotor learning outcomes for science material after using the Guided Discovery Learning model. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK) with 34 students as research subjects. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive quantitative with an indicator of success of 75% of students who complete classically. The results showed that there was an increase in learning outcomes through the application of the Guided Discovery Learning model for students in class VII H. This can be seen from the results of an increase in learning outcomes completed by 4 students, with an average value of learning outcomes in the initial conditions (pre-cycle) of 49.70 in the less category and a proportion of 11.76% in the very low category. After being given treatment, there was an increase in 12 students in cycle I which had an average value of 62.35 in the medium category and a proportion of 35.29% in the very low category and in cycle II by 27 students, which had an average value of 76.18 in the sufficient category and a proportion of 79.41% in the high category. Overall, this study proves that the application of the Guided Discovery Learning model can improve students' cognitive learning outcomes. This increase can be seen from the increase in the score of the increase in the value of student learning outcomes during the two research cycles.
