Abstract

Learning mathematics for students at junior high school level using the Merdaka curriculum can apply a variety of approaches and practices that focus on understanding concepts, solving problems and developing relevant 21st century skills. The problem posing approach provides a learning process that can develop students' analytical, critical thinking and problem solving abilities. In the problem posing approach with the think pair share learning model, students are grouped with their classmates and given the freedom to develop their own abilities in identifying problems and finding solutions that are in accordance with the mathematical concepts being studied. The subjects in this research were 36 students in class VIII-I at SMP Negeri 2 Candi Sidoarjo for the 2023/2024 academic year. This research consists of four stages carried out in each cycle, namely: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The research results show an increase in student learning outcomes seen in the average scores of students in cycle I and cycle II.
