Abstract

Madrasas as Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia have an implementation role in developing education in society. In its development, madrasas have not only become an integral part of the national education system, but also play an important role in instilling religious understanding in students. The PAI curriculum policy is one of the important aspects in ensuring that the material taught is in accordance with the teachings of the Islamic religion, while still meeting national education standards. The implementation of the PAI curriculum policy is faced with various challenges, especially in achieving a balance between religious and academic aspects, as well as adapting the material so that it remains relevant without sacrificing other subjects. However, the implementation of this policy also brings opportunities to increase understanding of religious, moral and ethical practices among students. It is important for educational institutions to continue to evaluate and update PAI curriculum policies, with support from various parties including teachers, parents and the community. This not only aims to fulfill the needs of Islamic teachings, but also to create an inclusive and meaningful educational environment for students. The research method used in this article is the library research method, which focuses on collecting information related to certain topics of discussion. This process includes collecting references to curriculum policy studies, curriculum policies in Indonesia, and Islamic education curricula in madrasa units, which are then analyzed to find information that is relevant to the researcher's questions. The conclusion of this analysis is in accordance with the title of the research, providing an in-depth understanding of the implementation of PAI curriculum policies in the educational context in madrasa units.
