Abstract

One of the character values ​​that needs to be developed is discipline. The character value of discipline is very important for humans to have so that other good character values ​​emerge. The importance of strengthening the value of disciplinary character is based on the reason that currently there is a lot of deviant behavior that is contrary to disciplinary norms. The purpose of this research is that the researcher wants to explain how teachers instill discipline in elementary school students at SDI Al-Falah, Jambi City. This research uses a qualitative research approach with a phenomenological research type. The data collection methods used were observation. The results of the research show that teachers in instilling disciplined character in the VB SDI Al-Falah class in Jambi City include 4 methods, namely: the exemplary method, the habituation method, the storytelling method, the field trip method. Teachers  instill a disciplined character in students are through the methods used. The various methods teachers to instill discipline in students have gone well and provided good results for class VB students at SDI Al-Falah, Jambi City. With this method of instilling discipline in students, students can apply discipline both to themselves and to their environment. For example, students are able to be disciplined in the learning process, are orderly in studying, are no longer lazy, develop a disciplined attitude, come to school on time, they also do their assignments well, and obey school rules and respect and respect teachers.
