PENERAPAN PROBLEM BASED LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA MATERI PERKALIAN BILANGAN CACAH PESERTA DIDIK KELAS 3B SDN PILANGBANGO MADIUN

This research aims to overcome the problem in class 3B of SDN Pilangbango
Madiun, namely the low learning outcomes of students in the mathematics subject
of multiplication of whole numbers. Based on observations and interviews
conducted by researchers, this problem was triggered by the methods used by
educators in teaching. Some educators' learning still uses the lecture method,
giving the impression that educators are more dominant than students. This
research design uses the Kemmis and Mc Taggart method with the planning,
implementation, observation and reflection stages carried out in two cycles with
each cycle holding two meetings. Data analysis techniques were carried out
descriptively and qualitatively. The results of the research show that learning
mathematics using the PBL method for mathematics subjects, multiplication of
whole numbers, can be carried out in accordance with the steps in the Learning
Implementation Plan (RPP), educators condition students to be orderly and
orderly, students are active and enthusiastic in the learning process. The learning
outcomes obtained increased, namely the average score of pre-action learning
outcomes was 43% in the 1st learning cycle 55.5% and the 2nd learning increased
61.5% in the 2nd cycle in the 1st learning 62.5% in the second lesson it was
68.5%, so it can be concluded that the PBL method can improve students'
mathematics learning outcomes in the multiplication of whole numbers at SDN
Pilangbango Madiun.
