This research aims to overcome the problem in class 3B of SDN PilangbangoMadiun, namely the low learning outcomes of students in the mathematics subjectof multiplication of whole numbers. Based on observations and interviewsconducted by researchers, this problem was triggered by the methods used byeducators in teaching. Some educators' learning still uses the lecture method,giving the impression that educators are more dominant than students. Thisresearch design uses the Kemmis and Mc Taggart method with the planning,implementation, observation and reflection stages carried out in two cycles witheach cycle holding two meetings. Data analysis techniques were carried outdescriptively and qualitatively. The results of the research show that learningmathematics using the PBL method for mathematics subjects, multiplication ofwhole numbers, can be carried out in accordance with the steps in the LearningImplementation Plan (RPP), educators condition students to be orderly andorderly, students are active and enthusiastic in the learning process. The learningoutcomes obtained increased, namely the average score of pre-action learningoutcomes was 43% in the 1st learning cycle 55.5% and the 2nd learning increased61.5% in the 2nd cycle in the 1st learning 62.5% in the second lesson it was68.5%, so it can be concluded that the PBL method can improve students'mathematics learning outcomes in the multiplication of whole numbers at SDNPilangbango Madiun.Downloads
