Abstract

Research on the demonstration method to improve procedure text writing skills for fifth grade students at SDN Umbulwidodo was motivated by the low level of students' writing skills when learning to write procedure texts. Procedure text is needed to create a series of writings that make it easier for someone to carry out or carry out a process step by step. The students' low skills are due to teachers tending to provide theory, while writing skills are obtained through continuous practice. The learning method that is considered suitable is the demonstration method where students have the motivation to produce better writing from continuous writing activities. By implementing the demonstration method, students' skills at SDN Umbulwidodo can increase.
