Abstract

The millennial generation is a generation that is able to keep up with the times and is expected to be able to apply democratic values in elementary schools. Elementary school is a means that really influences and creates an atmosphere for learning and developing democratic values, and students will be familiar with the rules and values in society. In this era, there are incidents regarding the fading of the values contained in Democracy among society, new derivatives, and therefore the importance of instilling Democratic values in elementary schools. In this article, the role of teachers is in educating and teaching the importance of democratic values in accordance with current developments. The approach taken is a literature study by examining several sources that are relevant to the implications for the millennial generation of democratic values. Based on a literature study approach where the author collects data and information in the form of documents, discussion books, journals, articles and others.
