MEDIA MEMBACA PERMULAAN BERBASIS BUSY BOOK DENGAN METODE SILABEL BAGI PESERTA DIDIK SD: A NARATIVE LITERATUR REVIEW

This research aims to conduct a literature review regarding the Busy Book-based initial reading media for students at the elementary school level using the syllable method. This research uses a narrative literature review (NLR) with two main steps: collecting sources from various journals and conducting analysis. Source collection is carried out by utilizing Publish or Perish (PoP) and selecting according to the needs of the theme and topic of the research study. Data were analyzed by categorizing the media themes: Busy Book, syllable method, and beginning reading. The study results show that Busy Book media has a role in developing beginning reading skills by increasing students' interest and motivation. The role of the Busy Book media can be improved through a combination with the syllable method, which emphasizes letter recognition, letter blending, word recognition, word combination, and arranging sentences so that they have meaning.
