Abstract

This mini research aims to analyze the questions on the Arabic PAT class VII of Al-Mumtaz Islamic Middle School for the 2022-2023 academic year from the skills aspect and offer innovative forms of skills tests to complement the deficiencies found during the analysis process. This mini research uses a qualitative descriptive analysis approach through content analysis techniques which includes a form of assessment through skills tests. The results of the mini research show that: 1) Language skills tests are categorized into two, namely active receptive and active expressive tests. Tests that are active receptive are listening and reading skills tests, while tests that are active expressive are speaking and writing skills tests. 2) Arabic language skills in PAT questions. Even for class VII students at Al-Mumtaz Islamic Middle School for the 2022-2023 academic year, the majority only discuss tests. from the linguistic aspect alone, while from the skills aspect it is still less dominant and less varied.
